Francis T. "Terry" Schneible

1946 - 1993


On October 9, 1969, while on duty with the Dover Police Department, Patrolman Schneible was shot with a shotgun while attempting to arrest a shoplifter in downtown Dover. Patrolman Schneible had served with the agency for 11 years. He then left Dover PD to become a Delaware State Trooper.

Twenty-four years later, on December 20, 1993, Patrolman Schneible died from complications of surgery for injuries he sustained in the shotgun blast. He was survived by his wife and two children.
